Message from Mr. Dave Deutsch, Athletic Director: March 11, 2021

I hope each team had a great practice and are nearing the level of readiness they desire to be for their first game.  I wanted to communicate two updates from my meeting this evening.

  • Games and Spectators
    • All contests will require pre-paid admissions for spectators through the app TicketSpicket.  The cost of admission will be $5.  I will send a separate email with additional information regarding this for you to share with your teams tomorrow.
    • Each player will be permitted one spectator, attached are the guidelines for spectators. Share this with your teams tonight.
    • All participants and spectators will be required to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.
    • Family of coaches are not permitted to attend at this time.
    • There will not be concessions.
    • At events that are doubleheaders (JV followed by varsity), JV must depart immediately after their event.  The site will be emptied before the next team/spectators may enter.  High contact areas (bench/score table area) will be cleaned between events.
  • Transportation
    • Tomorrow you will receive your transportation schedule for the season.  The departure times can be adjusted, but you must let me know so I can notify the contractor.  Only 20 passengers are permitted per bus.
    • Students may self-transport.  Either the parent or student may drive.  The attached form must be used and submitted 48 hours prior to the event (exception for football on 3/12, I need this before 3pm tomorrow).  A separate form is needed for each event.  They can be submitted all at once (email to ddeutsch@bcps.org).  Share this form with your teams tonight.
