Eastern Tech Senior Wins 1st Place in Brain Bee Competition

Eastern Tech Brain Bee TeamOn Saturday, February 19, 2020, three representatives from Eastern Tech attended the annual Brain Bee Competition at the regional level. The delegation consisted of Mavericks Amanda Nwokoro, Keanna Brown, and Ami Daya, who have worked consistently throughout the year to learn about a multitude of topics pertaining to neurology and cerebral anatomy. By the competition’s end, three of the four spots in the final round were acquired by Eastern Tech students.

Amanda Nwokoro secured 1st place, ensuring her spot at the National Brain Bee competition where she will represent Eastern Tech at Ohio Medical University on March 14, 2020. The winner of the National competition will go on to represent the United States in the International final round held in Washington, D.C.  

Eastern Tech staff and student body wish Amanda the best of luck in her upcoming competition, and congratulate Ami and Keanna for their hard work in preparing for the regional contest.
