Eastern Tech educator wins statewide honor

Veteran teacher receives recognition for excellence, innovation in the classroom

On Wednesday, March 3, the Maryland Society for Educational Technology (MSET) named Eastern Tech Mathematics department chair, Ms. Kim Burton-Regulski, the 2020 Maryland Outstanding Educator Using Technology. MSET promotes the effective instructional and leadership practices of Maryland educators through technology integration. In honoring Ms. Burton-Regulski, MSET Educator and Leader Awards Chair Chris Cuppett, noted that she has “clearly demonstrated exceptional use of innovative and effective uses of educational technology.”

As an award winner, Burton-Regulski will receive complimentary registration to the Common Ground 2020 education conference in Ocean City this coming May. At the conference, she will be among 1,250 educators from across the state who will gather for one of Maryland’s largest professional development opportunities. Ms. Burton-Regulski will be recognized for the 2020 Maryland Outstanding Educator Using Technology award before the keynote speaker on Friday, May 1.
